PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION

TITAN
INSTALLER GUIDE.

Professional installation starts with professional preparation. This guide is intended to help installers maintain consistency, reduce avoidable errors, and present Titan products at the highest standard.

Titan films are designed to deliver premium results, but the final outcome always depends on correct storage, surface preparation, installation technique, and post-install care.

01

Before You Begin

  • Confirm the vehicle or glass has been fully inspected under proper lighting.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, enclosed, and dust-controlled.
  • Confirm temperature and humidity are within suitable installation range.
  • Prepare all tools, solutions, blades, and towels before starting.
  • Verify the correct Titan product has been selected for the application.
  • Never begin installation on contaminated, overheated, or poorly prepared surfaces.
02

Storage & Handling

  • Store Titan films in a clean, dry environment.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and excessive heat.
  • Keep rolls in original packaging until use.
  • Do not crush, bend, or improperly stack cartons.
  • Rotate stock correctly and use older inventory first.

Improper storage can affect liner release, adhesive behavior, and installation consistency.

03

Surface Inspection

  • Inspect the surface carefully for rock chips, scratches, existing damage, repaint areas, lifting clear coat, contamination, overspray, wax, or polishing residue.
  • PPF and tint should only be installed on stable, properly cured, and suitable surfaces.
  • If the surface condition is questionable, advise the customer before proceeding.
04

Surface Preparation

  • Pre-wash the vehicle thoroughly.
  • Decontaminate the surface and remove waxes, sealants, polishing oils, and residue.
  • Clean panel edges, gaps, badges, and tight areas carefully.
  • Dry the vehicle completely before final prep.
  • Perform a final panel wipe before installation.
  • For tint and architectural film, ensure glass is fully cleaned, especially edges and corners.
05

Work Environment

  • Install Titan films in a professional indoor environment whenever possible.
  • Recommended conditions include a clean enclosed bay, controlled dust exposure, stable temperature, and strong overhead lighting.
  • Avoid uncontrolled outdoor conditions unless absolutely necessary.
06

Best Installation Practices

  • Handle film with clean hands and clean tools only.
  • Avoid unnecessary contact with adhesive surfaces.
  • Align carefully before locking placement.
  • Use consistent overlapping squeegee strokes.
  • Remove solution evenly and avoid trapping moisture or air.
  • Apply controlled pressure, especially near edges and contours.
  • Finish edges carefully without overstretching or distorting the film.

Special Notes for PPF Installation

  • Avoid overstretching the film.
  • Maintain uniform tension throughout installation.
  • Pay close attention to complex curves, corners, and recessed areas.
  • Inspect gloss consistency and clarity across visible surfaces.
  • For wrapped edges and high-stress areas, take extra care with final pressure and finish.
08

Special Notes for Tint Installation

  • For automotive solar tint, fully clean the glass before shrinking and laying film.
  • Inspect for fingers, dust, and edge lift before delivery.
  • For chameleon tint, align carefully for a clean premium visual finish and inspect from both inside and outside the vehicle.
  • For residential and office tint, confirm glass type before installation and communicate cure-time expectations clearly.

Post-Installation Care Guidance

  • After PPF installation, advise customers not to wash immediately and to avoid pressure washing edges during the early cure period.
  • After tint installation, advise customers to allow haze or moisture to cure naturally and to avoid immediate cleaning or rough handling.
  • Use only safe, non-abrasive cleaning methods.

CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION

Explain what product was installed, where it was installed, expected cure behavior, care instructions, and warranty or authenticity steps. Strong communication is part of a premium brand experience.
